Sports Massage

 

The therapist works according to the needs of the athlete and the type of sport. Sports massage is designed to help prepare an athlete for an event and to help him or her recover. Research has found that the bodies of athletes recuperate faster from strenuous sports events with massage. Pre-event sports massage may help prevent injury as well. Compression, jostling, friction, stretches and trigger point work are commonly employed.
